Long John Silver’s sets sail with
No Kid Hungry
Long John Silver’s is partnering with No Kid Hungry, a national campaign to end childhood hunger in America. Now through June 30, Long John Silver’s will donate 10 percent of every $20 gift card purchased at participating restaurants to help feed kids in need.
“At Long John Silver’s, our mission has always been about making meals - like our unique seafood experience from the coasts - accessible to all. Through this partnership with No Kid Hungry, we’re proud to give back to the communities who have sailed with us for the past 50 years,” said Christopher Caudill, Vice President of Marketing.
Millions of children in the United States live in food insecure households, meaning these households don’t have enough food for all family members to lead a healthy life. And we know that COVID-19 is having – and will continue to have – a terrible impact on hungry kids. Projections show that as many as 1 in 4 children could face hunger this year as a result of the coronavirus.
“We consider our guests family, and we are incredibly grateful to No Kid Hungry for its work to keep food on the tables of family members across the country,” said Caudill. “We urge Long John Silver’s guests who can to purchase a gift card from their local Long John Silver’s or to donate directly online (www.nokidhungry.org/longjohnsilvers).”
In addition to its partnership with No Kid Hungry, Long John Silver’s is supporting families through its free kid meals promotion. Now through May 31, 2020, at participating restaurants, guests can receive one free kid’s meal with each regular price combo, meal or platter purchased by showing this coupon at the time of purchase. Kids can choose from meals featuring chicken tenders, popcorn shrimp or fish.
