First time in 47-year History, America’s Favorite Seafood Restaurant Offers Dual Batter Options

LOUISVILLE, Ky. January 31, 2017— Long John Silver’s, known for its classic battered and hand-dipped wild-caught Alaskan whitefish, is diving into competition with an unexpected opponent: itself. The country’s largest quick-service seafood restaurant has introduced the new Beer Battered Alaskan Cod alongside its Classic Battered product. This is the first time, since Long John Silver’s opened its doors in 1969, the brand has offered two batter options. The promotion will run through April 16.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. November 10, 2016 – Long John Silver’s, the nation’s largest quick service seafood restaurant, announced the opening of a new location in Statesville, N.C. The newest restaurant is a full- service Long John Silver’s and shares a building with an A&W and convenience store. This is the first domestic Long John Silver’s to open in more than two years.

The nation’s leading quick-service seafood restaurant unveiled a new branding strategy and logo to more than 400 attendees including franchisees and vendors. Long John Silver’s also gave away many first-time awards including a Jim Patterson Founder’s Award, named after the man who founded the brand in 1969.

The nation’s largest quick-service seafood restaurant’s convention will be Tuesday and Wednesday at the Marriott Downtown, where more than 400 franchisees and corporate leaders will be in attendance.

The class of Long John Silver’s 2016 Million Dollar Club was recognized yesterday at the national convention in Downtown Louisville, Kentucky. Representatives of each group were present to accept the award at the Marriott Hotel. The nation’s largest quick-service seafood chain celebrated franchisees who have one or more restaurants that have passed the $1 million milestone. States with $1 million stores include Iowa, Illinois, Pennsylvania, Indiana, Kentucky, West Virginia, New York, Tennessee, Colorado, Arizona, Missouri, Ohio, Virginia, Oklahoma, Texas, Florida, Wyoming and Kansas. The national convention welcomed more than 400 franchisees and corporate members to celebrate the success of the brand and introduce its new rebranding strategy including a new logo, new uniforms and a new, refreshed store design.
