First time in 47-year History, America’s Favorite Seafood Restaurant Offers Dual Batter Options
LOUISVILLE, Ky. January 31, 2017— Long John Silver’s, known for its classic battered and hand-dipped wild-caught Alaskan whitefish, is diving into competition with an unexpected opponent: itself. The country’s largest quick-service seafood restaurant has introduced the new Beer Battered Alaskan Cod alongside its Classic Battered product. This is the first time, since Long John Silver’s opened its doors in 1969, the brand has offered two batter options. The promotion will run through April 16.
National Brand Opens its First New Domestic Restaurant in Two Years
LOUISVILLE, Ky. November 10, 2016 – Long John Silver’s, the nation’s largest quick service seafood restaurant, announced the opening of a new location in Statesville, N.C. The newest restaurant is a full- service Long John Silver’s and shares a building with an A&W and convenience store. This is the first domestic Long John Silver’s to open in more than two years.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. September 29, 2016 – Long John Silver’s held its national convention with the theme “True North” this week in Louisville, Ky. The nation’s leading quick-service seafood restaurant unveiled a new branding strategy and logo to more than 400 attendees including franchisees and vendors. Long John Silver’s also gave away many first-time awards including a Jim Patterson Founder’s Award, named after the man who founded the brand in 1969.
